What is your current state of being?
My current state is happy. I’ve never felt as free but connected. Connected to real people, real talented people.
What was your most recent revelation?
My most recent revelation is I found out that I’m seeing that I can apply all my various talents when dealing with my band The Memorials from the art to the music to the videos and photos. It’s all coming a full circle. Spending all this time being a space cadet/ dreamer has paid off because I’m using what I learned right now.
What was the last thing to blast your senses?
The last thing to blast my sense was M Son. He keeps me fresh he always shows me something new and original. I think him being such a fireball almost like a 2010 version of me keeps my sense blasted.
What do you consider your own personal glory?
My personal glory is just the fact that I can make fellow drummers excited. I also think it can be that I make my family and friends proud. I also make my city really proud. I’ve been a “prodigy” for a while now. I’m a man and I still never fell off.
How would you like to change the world?
I would like to change the world’s thought about music. I’d love to erase genres and just make music. And when I say erase genre, I mean erase the industry standard of a genre. The stupid industry thoughts that push talented musicians into the corner of selling themselves out, I dunno.
